Venezuelan people celebrate 209 years of independence

“We celebrate 209 years of independence forged by our liberators. Today, the sons of Bolívar, we continue on the right side of history with the Venezuelan people; for the defense of our sovereignty and self-determination,” said the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.
In the same trill he exclaimed: “Long live Venezuela free of empires forever!”, On the occasion of the 209 years of the Signing of the Act of the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela, and the Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) , whose commemorative acts were carried out from early hours of the day, in civic-military union, with various protocol, ceremonial and military acts.

It is worth noting that among the activities carried out, the following stand out: the raising of the National Flag, placement of a flower offering before the Mausoleum of the Father of the Fatherland, the Liberator, Simón Bolívar, in the National Pantheon, opening ceremony of the Ark containing the Book of Acts of the Supreme Congress of 1811 in the Elliptical room of the Federal Legislative Palace; military parade and promotions of 1,176 FANB Generals and Admirals at the Military Academy of Venezuela, at Fort Tiuna in Caracas.

Similarly, the Executive Vice President, Rodríguez, published another tweet in which she stated “With the invincible force of the Venezuelan people and the historical burden of our liberators, today we celebrate the Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, always active in defense of the sovereignty and peace of our Homeland. In civic-military union, Venezuela will always win! “.

On the other hand, Rodríguez led the opening ceremony of the Ark that contains the Book of Acts of the Supreme Congress of 1811, from the Elliptical room of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, along with the sectoral vice president of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace and minister for the Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, and of the vice president for Public Works and Services and minister of the Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace; M / G Néstor Reverol, among other authorities.

It is worth remembering that on July 5, 1811 the National Independence Act was signed, which was drafted by Juan Germán Roscio and Francisco Isnardi, and signed by the representatives of the seven United Provinces of Barcelona, Barinas, Caracas, Cumaná, Margarita , Mérida and Trujillo. With this act, Venezuela becomes the first American colony to free itself from the Spanish yoke.

For his part, the sector vice president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, urged the Venezuelan people to read the Act of Independence, and reaffirmed that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is determined to be independent, free and sovereign .
