The President of Angola, João Lourenço, arrived on Monday [11.11] in Rome, Italy, to start his first official visit to the Vatican at the invitation of Pope Francis.
Tomorrow, in what will be the first act of the program and by far the highest moment of the mission, the president of Angola will meet the pope at 10 pm.
Wednesday, the journey will be reserved for a tribute from the head of state to ambassador “negrita”, the diplomat of the former kingdom of Congo sent to the holy see and deceased shortly after arriving in the territory.
It took place around 10 pm this Tuesday [12.11] the meeting of the president of the Republic, João Lourenço, with Pope Francis, at the Vatican.
The head of state makes a two-day visit to the Vatican, which will be completed tomorrow with a passage through the main monuments of the city. In the programme of the day, it also includes a tribute to Don António Manuel Nvunda “NEGRITA”, AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF CONGO DECEASED IN ROME IN THE 5th century [5 January 1608].
Marcelo Rebelo De Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, who arrived today in Rome for an official visit to Italy, made a point of visiting the hotel Rome cavalieri to greet a friend: João Lourenço, the Angolan head of state.
For an hour, the relaxed conversation that remains for history as another record of the remarkable empathy and reciprocal consideration between the two leaders.
