The President of Angola Dismisses Interior Minister and other Ministers

After a public outcry of Corruption,nepotism and poor management in Angola’s public institutions,the president of Angola has taken a bold step by dismissing a couple of ministers and executives. However, its not a guarantee if the new faces will be able to clean up their ministries, as the corrupt technocrats are still at large and will continue mismanaging their departments. Hopefully, this will be a proper war against mismanagement and not a mere change of guards-thus, window dressing.

The President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, in the use of the prerogatives conferred on him by the constitution of the republic of Angola, shall remove the following entities.

Angelo De Barros da veiga tavares, as minister of the interior;

Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, as minister of agriculture;

Pedro Luís Da Fonseca, as minister of economy and planning.

Eugene César Laborinho, as governor of the province of cabinda;

Pedro Mutinde, as governor of the province of the cuando kavango;

Alcino of pleasures Isata Francisco da conceição, as secretary for economic affairs of the president of the republic;

Manuel Neto da Costa, as secretary of state for planning.

The following entities are appointed for the following posts:

Eugene César Laborinho, minister of the interior;

António Francisco de assis, minister for agriculture and forests;

Manuel Neto da Costa, minister for economy and planning;

Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, Governor of cabinda province;
