The Ethiopia Prosperity Party government suffered several defeats today, losing many of its forces, including senior officers, in ambushes. In the Azedo area, an officer serving as a security officer for the regime’s military was killed by unidentified gunmen. His escort was captured. This incident led to the withdrawal of the regime’s soldiers as far as Khanpu.
In just three days, the victory of the Amhara people shows that the end has come sooner than expected. These three days have been a testament to the complete dominance of the Amhara power and the result of a resounding victory. The army of Abiy Ahmed Ali, which had attacked Fano from Bahrdar city, was ambushed in and around Bahrdar city. The soldiers who threatened to cut off the enemy were engaged in a fierce battle, using mortars and other weapons.
